Abstract
[Compassion]. In this article, the philosophical debate on death in modern and contemporary times is related to the dramatic events of the pandemic. An answer to the finiteness of life is given by the empathy towards those who are dying and by the reflection on the “eternals”.

In questo articolo il dibattito filosofico sulla morte in età moderna e contemporanea viene posto in relazione con i drammatici eventi della pandemia. Una risposta alla finitezza della vita è data dalla empatia verso chi sta morendo e dalla riflessione sugli “eterni”.
